Chris has been actively involved with the SVR since 1969. Initially he was a volunteer in the locomotive department, before moving into the ranks of the operating department, progressing from Ticket Inspector through Guard, Signalman, Assistant Stationmaster, to his present position as Bridgnorth Stationmaster -  a role held since 1981 -  and is also one of the Duty Officers.


Chris Is a Chartered Management Accountant and, after holding various roles at senior management level across several leading automotive companies, is currently the Project Accountant for Tata Motors European Technical Centre plc, an automotive styling, research and engineering organisation, located at the University of Warwick.


Additional to the role within the operation of the railway, Chris holds the position of Treasurer to the Severn Valley Railway Association and to the LMS 46443 Fund. He joined the Board in 1983.
