Kevin CroninDirector
Kevin was born in 1978 and lives in Kidderminster with his partner and three children. He started as a train driver with First North Western in 1999, later transferring to Central Trains (now London Midland) at Worcester.
He became involved with the SVR through his father, Frank, and started firing and helping out at the shed as a child (before Health and Safety!). He became a passed cleaner on his sixteenth birthday, becoming a fireman in 1997 and subsequently a driver. He became a Duty Officer in 2008. He is also project leader for the Rolling Stock Trust to get 'Hinton Manor' back into traffic, a locomotive for which he has a special affection through his friendship with the late Ray Tranter.
Kevin feels he has the knowledge and ideas from his long railway experience to step forward and help take the SVR into the future. He is willing to listen and take on ideas, and feels he has the ability to try to make the good ones work.
