2047 - Manning, Wardle 0-6-0ST 'Warwickshire’

This small steam locomotive is the last Manning, Wardle (2047/1926) built in Leeds prior to the Company being wound up in 1927.  The locomotive is undergoing overhaul at Bridgnorth, with removed parts transported to Bewdley for overhaul by the owning group, the Warwickshire Industrial Locomotive Trust. The Trust's website gives regular overhaul updates and images of the work, scroll down to the foot of the page.

awaiting restoration and painting.

December 1st 2017

A recent working party trial fitting re-furbished springs to 0-6-0ST MW2047 at Bridgnorth. Image added.
It is hoped that the new cylinders (fully machined) will arrive on the SVR before the end of the year.

Refurbished rear spring complete with fully machined pins asnd mounting link at Bewdley in late May 2017. It is hoped to trial

September 2016

  1. Facebook update September 25th - The Trust were hoping to move Warwickshire down to Bewdley to tie in with the "big shunt" that was planned for Bewdley this month. The move has been postponed until a date to be determined in Spring 2017. This will allow the Trust instead to have the new cylinders manufactured and fitted prior to the intended move.

  2. The website update shows cleaning, degreasing and painting parts at Bewdley.
