December 14th, 16th 2016 - 7714 is booked to double head with 4566 on January 1st and 2nd 2017, before 4566 is withdrawn from traffic.
Further to the below, 7714 is rostered to daily December 23rd and is truly one of the fleet again.
December 9th 2016 - 7714 is booked to swap with 1501 at Bridgnorth at 2.00 p.m. and work the return Christmas Diner on December 16th.
December 3rd 2016 - 7714 undertook load testing on December 2nd with 4566 at the north end in top-and-tail formation. Image added to gallery. Bill Griffiths and Sue Thomas.
November 29th 2016 - 7714 has moved under her own steam following overhaul. The locomotive, which will soon join our operational fleet of engines, was in action at Bridgnorth Station today. No. 7714 will continue 'running in' before a full return to service very soon. Image by Sue Thomas added to the gallery

November 14th 2016 - The return of Pannier Tank No. 7714 is edging closer. Two images added (c) Leo Roberts.
November 2nd 2016 - Subject to availability, she was due to feature in the 'Season Finale Gala' from November 4th - 6th 2016. Unfortunately, we regret to announce that despite our best endeavours, Pannier Tank No. 7714 will not make a return to service at our forthcoming Season Finale Gala from November 4th - 6th. She will also miss her booked photocharter on November 8th.
The locomotive still requires the completion of some smokebox fittings and pipework. Even if these items had been fitted, the locomotive still requires a final boiler insurance steam/functional test, followed by a reasonable amount of running in and testing. It has become apparent, despite the hard efforts of Engineering Services staff in the last few weeks, that the Friday deadline is unachievable.
Unfortunately, No. 7714 will not be viewable during the Gala as it will be receiving final touches.
It is planned for No. 7714 to operate on some of our more lightly loaded trains in late November/December, with the loco expected to become a valuable member of the operating fleet in 2017.
October 30th 2016 - 7714 was in the paint shop at Bridgnorth yesterday, keeping 813 company. (Pete Cherry)

October 19th 2016 - Subject to the completion of its overhaul, Great Western Railway Pannier Tank No. 7714 will pilot trains during the event, double-heading with another engine. If the locomotive is not available to work trains, No. 7714 will be available for viewing at Bridgnorth (SVR website event page).
