Travel on the SVR

Each year you will receive your Working Member's pass which enables the bearer to travel on the SVR for free. A number of complimentary tickets are issued with this pass to facilitate friends and family to join the working member. These tickets and your pass allow free access to The Engine House.

 

Travel on other Railways

Reciprocal free travel is available on many other Railways across the UK, you can travel on these lines on production of your SVR Working Member's Pass. A full list of these can be found on our Reciprocal Travel page.

 

If you travel on other Railways with a partner you can apply for an Inter-Rail Pass, available through the SVR's membership of the Heritage Railway Association. These are available to purchase for £30 each, during January and are valid for one year, subject to terms and conditions.

If you would like to purchase a pass then please contact the Ticket Office at Comberton Place, Kidderminster by either calling 01562 757900, option 1 or in person during the opening hours of Monday–Friday 9am till 5pm, where the team will be able to take a card payment (or cash if in person).

 

Discount in SVR shops

Discount is available in the gift shops at Kidderminster, Engine House & Bridgnorth on production of your Working Member's Pass.

 

Discount in SVR Refreshment Rooms

Discount is available in the Refreshment Rooms at Kidderminster, Bewdley,  Engine House & Bridgnorth on production of your Working Member's Pass.

 

SVR Quiz

The SVR hosts a quiz for Working Members to attend, every six months, details are always included in Express Points.

SVR Volunteer Voucher Draw

Each month a £20 voucher is drawn at random, during December four volunteers receive a voucher. Details can be found on the Volunteer Draw page.

Big Band Show wristbands

Our Step Back to the 1940s Big Band Show wristbands are on sale each Spring. Working Members may purchase a wristband from Kidderminster, Bewdley and Bridgnorth Booking Offices upon presentation of a valid Working Member’s pass. Each Working Member is permitted to buy one discounted ticket only at £4. The Booking Offices will require your name upon purchase so we can consolidate the lists after the event to make sure the system has worked. As always, we only have a limited number of tickets for sale, so make sure you purchase early to avoid disappointment.
