LNER A1 No. 60163 Tornado
With thanks to the A1 Steam Locomotive Trust.
Tornado will operate on November 5th & 6th only.
LMS 'Crab' No. 13065
Making its first appearance on the Railway in over 10 years, LMS 'Crab' No. 13065 in stunning crimson lake livery, joins us from the East Lancashire Railway. The locomotive, which last visited us in 2001, was built in 1927 and is sure to turn heads when paired with our LMS rake of carriages.
GWR 2-8-0T No. 4270
Built in 1919, the heavy-freight 2-8-0 tank is owned by Jeremy Hosking and visits us from the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Railway. Returning to the SVR after its previous visit in 2015, No. 4270 will be the largest tank engine in operation at the event.
13065 and 4270 complete the visiting line-up of locomotives. They will join newly-overhauled GWR pair No. 813 and No. 7714, as well as No. 4566 which is due to make its last Gala appearancebefore the expiry of her boiler certificate.
