The pandemic and government restrictions have had a significant impact on the Railway during 2020 and 2021. We were prevented from opening for many months, and had to operate with reduced capacity when we were able to open. This has led to a significant drop in passenger revenue for the SVR.

 

We are still feeling the effects of the pandemic, with many members of the public reluctant to visit.
