Kidderminster Town Station is situated in the middle of the market town of Kidderminster and, for most, is the gateway to the Severn Valley Railway.

The station itself is open all year round. and host`s special events such as (classic cars, steam on the road and live music. Kidderminster Railway Museum (which is home to some very unique displays such as an 'operational' signal box and a small booking office) is also open on these same days.
Facilities at the station are a fully licensed Pub (real ale) and a Restaurant as well as a gift shop that is fully stocked with items from mugs to model trains, plus the station fund kiosk that raises money (through the sale of second hand books and magazines) for the upkeep and running of the station.

The coalyard miniature railway ride is a 7and1/4 inch railway which operates most weekends and during school holidays. It is run by volunteers and uses a mix of steam and diesel models

The station itself is mainly maintained by a group of volunteers along with the help of the Friends of Kidderminster Town Station.
